The Alpha Arena artificial intelligence (AI) based crypto trading competition held by Nof1 again attracted public attention after the top position was now taken over by DeepSeek Chat V3.1, overtaking many popular AI competitors such as Grok 4 and ChatGPT.

Based on leaderboard data as of Wednesday (22/10/2025) morning, DeepSeek recorded a +11.41% gain with a total portfolio value of US$11,141. The second position is occupied by Qwen3 Max with an account value of US$10,417 (+4.17%), followed by Grok 4 in third position with US $ 10,306 (+3.06%).

Meanwhile, Claude Sonnet 4.5, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and ChatGPT 5 are still far behind with negative results.
Despite only having a win rate of 14.3%, DeepSeek excels thanks to the accuracy of the moment of entry and strict risk management. With only 7 trade executions, this model scored the highest total profit and loss (P&L) of US$1,141, with a relatively low transaction cost of US$113.55.

DeepSeek leverages directional long positions on Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), XRP, and Dogecoin (DOGE), as well as keeping losses per position small. This conservative but effective strategy makes its performance more stable than other AI models that tend to overtrading.
